Skills description

Rising Spell Force

At the beginning of the game, you are unlikely to feel any effect from the passive, because as a rule, you will deal the bulk of the damage using skills and only add a few auto attacks from time to time. At high levels, the passive gives an excellent bonus to attack speed, due to which Ezreal deals huge damage per second. At a later stage of the game, the passive will already seriously help.

Mystic Shot

This is Ezreal's main source of damage. It's a skillshot that deals physical damage. Try to hit as many Mystic Shots as possible, and make use of its range and low cooldown. It applies on-hit effects, like
Sheen
or Lifesteal, so itemize accordingly.

Essence Flux

EzrealW] is a skill that goes through minions and can hit multiple enemies. It deals magic damage. In addition, if you activate an ability using another skill, you will compensate for the mana cost. It should be noted that
Arcane Shift
skill selects for attack the target on which
Essence Flux
mark hangs.

Arcane Shift

This is your mobility and escape tool. It's also a skillshot. You can use it to reposition, dodge skillshots, or engage on enemies. It can also hit enemies, dealing magic damage and reducing your other ability cooldowns due to your passive.

Trueshot Barrage

Ezreal's ultimate is a global skillshot. It travels across the map, damaging all enemies in its path. You can use it to finish off low-health enemies, steal objectives (like Dragon or Baron), or apply pressure in other lanes. Try to aim it carefully, as it's harder to hit compared to your other abilities.

How to play against hard matchups

Draven

Playing against Draven can be a challenging matchup, as Draven is known for his strong early-game damage and ability to snowball. One of Ezreal's strengths is his long-range poke with
Mystic Shot
. Use this to your advantage by harassing Draven from a distance. Try to land as many
Mystic Shot
as possible while staying out of Draven's basic attack range. Remember that playing against Draven requires a balance of defensive play and opportunistic aggression. Surviving the early game and scaling into the mid-late game is often your primary goal when facing a dominant laner like Draven.

Kai'Sa

Playing against Kai'Sa is skill-based matchup, and your approach should consider both the laning phase and the mid-to-late game. Use your
Mystic Shot
to poke Kai'Sa whenever she goes in for last hits. Ezreal's ability to poke from range is a significant advantage in this matchup. Focus on farming, but take opportunities to poke Kai'Sa when her abilities are on cooldown. Be cautious about engaging in extended trades with Kai'Sa. She can deal a lot of damage with her
Second Skin
and
Void Seeker
. Short trades and poking are generally safer than all-ins.

Tips and tricks

  • In all-ins, a common combo is
    Arcane Shift
    -> auto attack ->
    Mystic Shot
-> auto attack. This maximizes your damage output by weaving auto attacks between abilities.
  • Remember that both your
    Arcane Shift
    and
    Flash
can be used defensively or offensively. Use them wisely to escape danger or secure kills.
  • Arcane Shift
can be used to cancel the animation of your
    Essence Flux
. This can be useful for quickly firing off the ability.
  • You can use your
    Mystic Shot
to check brushes without face-checking. Aim your
    Mystic Shot
into the brush, and if it hits an enemy or monster, you'll see the damage numbers pop up and hear the sound, giving you vision of the area
